not intentionally but maybe?! at my old ballet studio one year we did the carnival of animals. each age group had a different song, my class had a dance for the tortoises. the eldest student ballerina, who i think was a ballet teacher in training, danced to the swan. i think they called her dance “the dying swan”. i always thought the song was lovely and i was impressed by her dancing in pointe shoes. i didn’t really like ballet class but that’s one good memory i have of it.
For once in my life, I feel relatively interested in and willing to do background work. I guess SU had what it took to crack open that part of me all along!
